Supply Chain Management Expert Dan DiMaggio
Joins Franzetta & Associates

Dan DiMaggio, former CEO of UPS Logistics Group, has joined Franzetta & Associates, Inc. as a supply chain management consulting associate. Mr. DiMaggio's 35-year career at UPS included building a $10 million warehousing unit into a $1.2 billion business in just seven years, while managing the integration of over 15 companies into the fast-growing division. Mr. DiMaggio also managed the acquisition by UPS of Overnight Transportation, which became UPS Freight, a $2 billion business. 

Mr. DiMaggio joins a distinguished team of globally respected SCM experts at Franzetta & Associates. These include Gene Tyndall, former CEO of Ryder Logistics; Pat Blake, former CEO of Consolidated Freightways; Yoshio Gotoh, former Chairman of Itochu's logistics joint venture, GDS; and Chuck Foust, former President of GE Capital Transportation, among other respected SCM experts. 

Prior to leading UPS Logistics Group, Mr. DiMaggio managed UPS Industrial Engineering, a $25 billion unit with 2,500 engineers. He later managed the $7 billion UPS Air Products unit, and was then given responsibility for UPS International Marketing, turning that $5 billion global operation to profitability.

As Director of Worldwide Distribution for Newsweek before establishing Franzetta & Associates, Chuck pioneered logistics outsourcing approaches. As General Manager for Flying Tigers, he developed inventory reduction and expedited transportation practices which have become industry standards.
