Gene Tyndall

Globally recognized supply chain consultant
and thought leader

Founding partner of Supply Chain Executive Advisors, LLC, Gene is a globally recognized Supply Chain Management business executive, management consultant and thought leader.

He has advised executives at over 100 global corporations in consumer products, automotive and industrial, electronics, health care, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and technology in over 40 countries during his consulting career.

His work has generated billions of dollars in savings and value creation from supply chain improvements and transformations.

In addition to co-founding SCEA, he is the Associate Director at the University of Miami Center for Advanced Supply Chain Management, which he helped establish in 2003.

Prior to SCEA, he was Executive Vice President at Ryder Systems, Inc., where he led the Global Supply Chain Solutions business ($1.5 billion enterprise) and its respective turnaround and process transformations that have positioned this business for sustained value and profitability. 

At Ryder, he served over 200 global customers with operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. He is considered an expert on the outsourcing of Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions.

Before Ryder, he led the Global Supply Chain consulting business ant Ernst & Young Management Consulting.

He also served with the United States Department of Transportation, and was an officer  in the United States Navy. 

He has co-authored four books on Supply Chain Management and Logistics, along with numerous articles, and is quoted frequently in industry journals. He has presented at numerous global conferences around the world and was named by Information Week as one of the "Top Ten Innovators for 2002."
